The future we dreamed of is now!
With these words, the President of the World Tourism Alliance opened the annual meeting in the Chinese city of Sanya in front of more than 2,000 members and official guests from 108 countries. The resurgence of the tourism business after the covid pandemic, the ever-stronger connection between tourism, history, culture and the challenges of artificial intelligence were at the heart of the annual report of the organization, in which the Castle in Love with the Wind is a long-standing full member.
The Bulgarian landmark of the businessman Georgi Tumpalov, with enviable persistence and persistence, captured the attention of Asian tourist organizations and won its place among the elite of tourist attractions in the world: Golden Prize of ITB – Shanghai, a leading role in the year of cooperation of the EU with the Tourism Industry in China, participation in international forums on the “New Silk Road” and many others. In the TV bridge organized by the World Tourism Alliance in 2020, the live broadcast from the castle was watched by more than 1 billion viewers. Chinese media giant CCN Network presented the tourist landmark along with the most attractive European tourist sites, the Eiffel Tower, the Berlin Wall and the Coliseum. In 2023, the Pacific Tourist Association declared the castle a “Phenomenal Tourist Site”.
At the current authoritative annual meeting, the castle for the first time presented a joint proposal with European Best Destinations, Brussels and the English media group CEO Destinations to introduce a new category in tourism: “Tourist destinations that change people’s lives”. This initiative fully confirms the management style of the Bulgarian tourist attraction: Not only to follow standards, but to create them.
